My work is centered on technical translation and marketing texts.

A background in Engineering and almost 10 years of experience in the field of software services are the basis for my technical knowledge, which is fundamentally different from what is offered by the typical translator with humanistic studies.

Many translators have acquired some technical knowledge when they started translating. My experience is completely different, having started my translation career after a complete course of technical studies and 10 years of real experience in the IT business.

A flair for writing allows me to provide naturally sounding Italian marketing material that is precise in the meaning and clear in its formulation in my native language.



My period of employment as a translator has been spent in two software houses.
The first company (SDL International, Maidenhead, UK) specializing in the localization of software and multimedia products (including audio recording, video and games).

The second company (Sage-Tetra, Reading, UK) developing a very large ERP application, and translating in-house the complete user interface, vast documentation and marketing material.

These two experiences, lasting about 3 years each, have been the foundation of my software localization expertise, based also on my 10 years of activity in the software business as a programmer, consultant and trainer.

A passion and deep knowledge of many software products allows me to tackle any software product with the necessary expertise and very high standards of quality of the final product.
